Holy awesomeness!!!! This is the easiest, cheapest, fastest, hands-down most awesome Halloween idea EVER! I saw a reference for using B Complex vitamins in a drink to make it glow, so I tested it out before "game day". Wow! This stuff really works like magic. This bottle found at Walmart, contains 10 pills for a whopping 88 cents!!!! You can clearly tell in the picture above this juice is glowing! Note, there is a black light on the table behind it. So, we have learned that the "B Complex" vitamins are black light sensitive. *** UPDATE*** (October 2015) I've been experimenting with all the B vitamin options. B2 works the best, since it is the Riboflavin that will make it glow. The complex works well, too, but if you have the option go for the B2. This glowing water/ ice will not have a taste, so you can mix it into pretty much whatever you want! (And, a great side note on B2- it is amazing for helping treat migraines and headaches. So thankful I found
I came across another great blog earlier this month, where I found on of the leg workouts Carrie Underwood does. If you have ever seen the girls legs, you know why I am so interested! I have organized the workout into an Excel file so its easier to follow along with and memorize. Tip - save as a .jpg and upload to your phone or iPod for quick review. I tried this, but the screen is too small on my nano....so I just memorized it. The original blog posting of this workout sounded confusing to me, even as an avid gym -goer. I wanted something much simpler to read and remember. A few notes: Make sure you drink plenty of water when doing this workout, you will be sore the next day! Pay close attention to stretching your calves and hamstrings, if you aren't used to sprinting. Difficulty: Moderate to challenging throughout workout. The squat jumps are definitely killer once you hit 14 or so. The sprints aren't too bad until around 6
Maleficent Costume DIY- Here are many pics of the Maleficent costume I made for Halloween! I must say, it's been one of my favorite costumes I've ever worn and made - that is after it was done. I drafted all the patterns, only using a basic skirt and turtleneck pattern to start with. Everything is an original design. Pics posted to inspire you to create a Maleficent costume all of your own! Happy Haunting! Bodice & "cape" like sleeves are all 1 unit. The turtleneck bodice is built kind of like a dickie, it just velcro's closed in the center back, since it doesn't stretch. It's concealed by the feather / collar shawl. Detailed picture of my staff. Spray paint stick black, wrapped with cool trim I had on hand (hot glue) and then the top is covered with tons of feathers. It was glowing, but hard to tell in any pics. Large clear Christmas ornament that I painted cool, and then put glow stick inside of. See bottom of pictures for more detaile
