Leopard Makeup Bag

Check out this sweet new makeup bag I finally got around to making. You know your prior bag was bad news when you husband says, "Yeah, your old makeup bag was a wreck!" The simple fact that a man paid attention to a makeup bag and noticed it's horrific state should tell you enough! I'd been looking for some fun oil cloth fabric for quite a while and found this in Fredericksburg, TX at an amazing fabric shop! 

Each side has a side zipper pocket for eyeshadows, powders, etc. Top flaps down to secure brushes when folded up.

Carrie Underwood Leg Workout

I came across another great blog earlier this month, where I found on of the leg workouts Carrie Underwood does. If you have ever seen the girls legs, you know why I am so interested! I have organized the workout into an Excel file so its easier to follow along with and memorize. Tip - save as a .jpg and upload to your phone or iPod for quick review. I tried this, but the screen is too small on my nano....so I just memorized it. The original blog posting of this workout sounded confusing to me, even as an avid gym -goer. I wanted something much simpler to read and remember.  A few notes: Make sure you drink plenty of water when doing this workout, you will be sore the next day! Amazing!! AND, fast, easy and cheap!

Holy awesomeness!!!! This is the easiest, cheapest, fastest, hands-down most awesome Halloween idea EVER! I saw a reference for using B Complex vitamins in a drink to make it glow, so I tested it out before "game day". Wow! This stuff really works like magic. This bottle found at Walmart, contains 10 pills for a whopping 88 cents!!!! You can clearly tell in the picture above this juice is glowing! Note, there is a black light on the table behind it. So, we have learned that the "B Complex" vitamins are black light sensitive. *** UPDATE*** (October 2015) I've been experimenting with all the B vitamin options. B2 works the best, since it is the Riboflavin that will make it glow. The complex works well, too, but if you have the option go for the B2. This glowing water/ ice will not have a taste, so you can mix it into pretty much whatever you want! (And, a great side note on B2- it is amazing for helping treat migraines and headaches. Part 1: DIY Headboard - Using Cardboard Instead of Wood

Hey everyone! I'm super excited about this project. It worked out so well and I took tons of pictures along the way. Part 1 includes all the base work of cutting out your design through getting the headboard completely covered in batting. Part 2 to follow will include covering your headboard in fabric and adding any desired trim (mine will have brass nail heads).  I've seen quite a few tutorials on Pinterest showing how to use plywood to make a headboard. Let me tell you, this way is not dramatically different, and when you have an excess of cardboard is pretty alluring and way cheap! This headboard will be going in one of our guest rooms, so I don't intend on it having lots of wear and tear. I may back it with plywood in the future if I see problems, but for now I think it's pretty darn great how it is.  To keep it semi-simple, I'll show you the pictures of the steps with brief descriptions along the way.  First, have your cat draw up the plan...
